FAQ’S

What time should I arrive for class?

Our classes start promptly, so please aim to arrive 5 minutes before your session.

You’ll find us inside Ashtanga Cheshire in Sandbach. If you’re a little early, you may see others waiting — feel free to say hello. Our community is warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely.

Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your class - The door will be locked and there may be another class happening!

If it’s your first time, it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous — we’ll take great care of you.

What should I expect from a reformer class?

Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout using a spring-based machine (the reformer) to build strength, improve posture, and increase flexibility.

In a typical class, you can expect:

  • A guided warm-up

  • Controlled, resistance-based movements

  • Core-focused exercises

  • Stretching and mobility work

Our classes are designed to be challenging but supportive, with options to modify or progress depending on your level.

You’ll leave feeling:

  • Stronger

  • More aligned

  • Energised (and slightly wobbly in the best way)

What happens when I arrive?

  • Leave your belongings neatly in our cloakroom

  • Ensure your phone is on silent

  • Your instructor will guide you to your reformer

If you're new, we’ll:

  • Show you how the machine works

  • Help you with spring setup

  • Guide you throughout the class

There’s no pressure to get everything right — we’re here to support you.

What if I’m running late?

For safety reasons, we cannot allow entry once the class has started.

This is because:

  • You’ll miss important setup and instruction

  • It can disrupt the flow of the session

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to avoid missing your class however not arriving before 15 minutes before the class start time.

What do I need to bring?
